Lisa A. Davis

RN, MA, LPCC

Lisa is an Independently Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with extensive experience working with individuals, couples and families. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from The Ohio State University, a Master of Arts in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary, and has advanced training in trauma and crisis recovery.

Working with clients in high-stress situations is a daily focus for Lisa. Her mediation training has helped people in various life situations including divorce, separation, blended families, reunification, and infidelity recovery. Life in any one of these situations can seem overwhelming at times, but Lisa has a special capacity to help individuals and families navigate the pain as they pursue a new normal. She also uses her training in trauma recovery to help individuals struggling with the depression, anxiety, and disturbing memories that often plague those who have survived sudden accidents, sexual or physical abuse, or traumas that occurred in the line of police, fire, or military duty.

Lisa believes that counseling does not always need to be a lengthy process. In many circumstances, she uses a results-oriented therapeutic approach referred to as Solution-Oriented Brief Therapy (SBT). Using SBT, Lisa helps clients identify their strengths and practical routes to recovery. Because SBT focuses on solutions it can be shorter in duration than other forms of counseling. Lisa is also certified in EMDR (Eye-Movement and Desensitization) Therapy for the treatment of PTSD (Post-traumatic Stress Disorder), and often works as a reunification counselor with families involved with the courts.

Angela Kim

MA, MFT

Angela is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from ACTS Seminaries at Trinity Western University. Angela brings more than 10 years of experience serving her community in pastoral ministry and in individual and couples therapy, and considers it a great honor to journey with others through times of difficulty, change, and growth.

Having personally experienced the gift of presence, safety, and security in her own counseling, she holds this role reverently, offering a nonjudgmental and safe space for any challenges or struggles clients face. She journeys with clients working with internal struggles such as anxiety, depression, grief, and loss, as well as difficulties in marriage, family, or personal relationships. She offers warmth, gentleness, and space to support client goals.

Angela has a vision to help couples, families, siblings, and friends reestablish, or establish for the first time, safety and security in relationship. With an emotionally focused approach, she helps clients explore the emotions and layers under the surface that fuel disruptive behaviors and cause pain and conflict within oneself and in relational dynamics. Identifying cycles and patterns within oneself and between people, understanding how past traumas impact present relationships, and developing secure attachment bonds lead to experiencing something new.

Angela continues to explore and integrate body-centered approaches into therapy with a deep appreciation for the fact that many of our difficulties and struggles have roots in traumatic or overwhelming experiences. She believes in the importance of working holistically with the body, mind, emotions, and soul, to move through pain, and experience something new, safe, and secure.
